SKILL ENHANCEMENT CERTIFICATION COURSE
ON ‘FINANCIAL LITERACY’
In April 2024, Department of LAW, MAIMS conducted a 30-hour Value-Added
Course on Financial Literacy, led by the faculty members Dr. Ankit Goel & Ms. Ritika
Bhatia. This course aimed to equip participants with crucial financial knowledge and
practical skills to manage their finances confidently. The course began with an emphasis
on the importance of financial literacy for achieving personal and professional goals.
Dr. Ankit Goel introduced concepts on Time Value of Money, and used practical
examples to ensure participants could apply these principles in everyday financial
planning and decision-making.
STUDENT TRAINING PROGRAMME ON
‘RESEARCH FUNDAMENTALS AND WRITING’
Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Management Studies, Department of Commerce under
the aegis of IQAC started a Student Training Programme "Research Fundamentals and
Writing". The course was started for the undergraduate students of MAIMS and other
institutes. With 30 sessions of an hour each, the course was of 30 hours duration in total.
This course aimed at exposing participants to the various new research methodological
tools in the academic and corporate world. It provided the insights into the fundamentals
and basics of research with focus on various contemporary research methodologies, art
of writing research papers. The certificate course was headed by Prof. (Dr.) Manju Gupta,
HoD, Commerce alongwith the course Conveners Dr. Parul Ahuja, Assistant Professor,
Department of Commerce and Ms. Srishti Garg, Assistant Professor, Department of Commerce. In total 60 students registered
and completed this online course.
A WORKSHOP ON
'MANAGING THE CORPORATE CRISIS THROUGH COMMUNICATION'
A workshop titled "Managing the Corporate Crisis Through Communication" was
held on 22nd February 2024, organized jointly by the Department of Journalism and Mass
Communication at Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Management Studies and Kalindi College,
certified Institute University of Delhi. The workshop aimed to shed light on the significance
of effective communication during times of crisis within the corporate sphere.
Ms. Chandrali Mukherjee, the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of ONGC, graced the
event as the guest speaker. She delivered a compelling discourse on the pivotal role of honest
communication in crisis management.Emphasizing the relevance of industry’s prerequisites,
Ms. Mukherjee also highlighted trust, credibility, and stability as fundamental pillars.
The session concluded with an interactive question and answer segment. The event was
coordinated by Ms. Shifali Ahuja, Assistant Professor, BAJMC. The event ended with memento presentation by Dr. Umesh C.
Pathak, the Head of the Department, BAJMC.
