A WORKSHOP ON PROBLEM-SOLVING WITH PSYCHOLOGICAL
ASSESSMENT TOOLS

On March 12, 2024, the Department of
EEE conducted an insightful workshop titled
"Problem-Solving Approach based on
Psychological Assessment Tool in
collaboration with Defence Research and
Development Organization (DRDO) ,"
specifically for students from the Electrical and
Electronics, and Electronics and
Communication departments. This event
focused on equipping participants with
advanced problem-solving techniques,
enriched by psychological assessment
methodologies.
The workshop featured distinguished
DRDO scientists Dr. Nity Sharma and Dr.
Sandhya Verma as keynote speakers, who
shared their expertise on innovative
methodologies. Coordinated by HODs and
faculty members Dr. Anubha Goel and Ms.
Poonam Juneja, the three-hour event began
with a presentation on inertial sensor
applications in electronic devices, setting a
complex problem for participants to analyse.
The session included a 10-minute
individual reflection period, where students
identified root causes and suggested solutions,
followed by a collaborative 20-minute group
discussion. This structured approach
encouraged diverse perspectives, deepening
students' understanding of team-based
problem-solving. The workshop concluded
with personalized interviews, where faculty
assessed each student's analytical and
communication skills, adding a unique depth
to the learning experience.
Certificates were distributed to
participants and faculty as a token of
appreciation. Through this initiative, DRDO
demonstrated its commitment to fostering innovative and interdisciplinary problem-solving skills. This workshop not only
enhanced students' technical and analytical abilities but also underscored the value of holistic development, preparing them
to confidently tackle future challenges in their academic and professional journeys.

