WINTER SCHOOL
The Department of Computer Science & Engineering at
MAIT, Delhi, organized a Two-Week Winter School for B.Tech
students. The event benefitted more than 140 registered students
from India. Recorded Lectures on IoT and its related area of
Renowned speakers, including Prof Manu Malek, EiC of
Computer & Electrical Engineering at Elsevier, Prof Giancarlo
Fortino from the University of Calabria in Italy, Dr. Ali Kashif
Bashir from Manchester Metropolitan University in the UK,
Dr. Utku Kose from Suleyman Demirel University in Turkey,
Dr. Gautam Srivastava from Brandon University in Canada, Prof
Arumugam Nallanathan from Queen Mary University of London in the UK, Dr. Shahid Mumtaz from the Institute of
Telecommunication in Portugal, Dr. Sarada Prasad Gochhayat from Old Dominion University in the USA, Prof. Danda B
Rawat from Howard University in the USA, Prof Anupam Gupta, CTO of BlockApps AI, Prof. Y.N. Singh from IIT Kanpur,
and Prof Sanjay K Dhurandher from NSUT in Delhi, were provided to the students in an online at 6-8 pm from 29th January
2024 - 9th February 2024. Following each session, students were assessed according to their performance on the quiz.
The organizing team, consisting of Dr. Deepak Gupta, Assistant Professor, CSE, MAIT, Ms. Kavita Saxena, Assistant
Professor, CSE, MAIT, Mr. Anupam Kumar, Assistant Professor, CSE MAIT, Dr. Farzil Kidwai, Assistant Professor, CSE,
MAIT, and Ms. Deepti Gupta, Assistant Professor, CSE, MAIT, greatly contributed to the success of the winter School.
MAIT ORGANIZES 5-DAY GENERATIVE AI BOOTCAMP WITH
MICROSOFT AZURE DEVELOPER COMMUNITY AND RESKILLL
Department of Computer Science and Engineering,
MAIT in association with Microsoft Azure Developer
Community and Reskilll, had organized a 5-day
Generative AI Bootcamp in online mode titled
"Empowering Developers with Generative AI" from 29th
April 2024-4th May 2024 to enhance student's abilities
in achieving academic excellence, personal development,
and career readiness. The bootcamp concluded with an
industry visit to Microsoft Office on May 4, 2024. Mr.
Anil Sharma, AI applied scientist and manager, headed
the bootcamp with his knowledgeable and interactive
hands-on sessions. More than 150 students from MAIT
registered themselves for this bootcamp. Siddharth
Chopra, creative AI specialist and Shirish Jain, Data scientist, concluded the bootcamp by expert talk in Generative AI with
90+ participants present at the Microsoft Office. The collaborative effort of the organizing committee headed by Prof.
Namita Gupta, HOD, CSE, MAIT, faculty coordinators Ms. Kavita Saxena (Asst. Prof., CSE, MAIT), Ms. Deepti Gupta
(Asst. Prof., CSE, MAIT), Ms. Zameer Fatima (Asst. Prof., CSE, MAIT), Mr. Anupam Kumar (Asst. Prof., CSE, MAIT),
and Ms. Sakshi Jha (Asst. Prof., CSE, MAIT), and student coordinators Ansh Goyal, 3rd year, CSE, Sarthak Mittal, 3rd year,
CSE, Apurba Koley, 3rd year, CSE, and Manya, 3rd year, led to successful execution of bootcamp.
